Made Caldy 1st XV rugby debut playing against John Horton, the then England Fly Half (1983)

Friday night football at Prenton Park

If you were an animal what would you be?

A black labrador or Bernese mountain dog!

Stranglers – Go Buddy Go... still in the collection

What do you call a fish with no eyes – FSH!

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

The alarm clock, snoozed twice before I get up

A nurse, wouldn’t be any good though as not keen on blood and guts etc

What cause or charity do you care most about?

Any cancer charity, I take part in Race for Life every year – 2012 will be my 6th year

Morley in Leeds – I lived there until I moved to Cheshire aged 22: still haven’t grown up

I would marry my partner and cram in as much travelling as I could, back to New York, Norway, Australia and Canada

What would you say is your biggest achievement?

Passing my driving test 5th time! Closely followed by giving up smoking

What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time?

I love cooking, shopping and drinking good red wine!

Karma Chameleon- Culture Club...on picture disc (I still have it!)

A fashion designer

I can’t ride a bike

Who has been the biggest influence on your life? What lessons did that person teach you?

My mum. She has taught me to have faith, be strong and have good manners! Keep those up and there isn't much in life you cant handle!

If you could have the keys to any room in the world, what room would it be?

The chocolate factory from ’Willie Wonka and The Chocolate Factory’! For obvious reasons of course!

Home is Hollins Green and I share it with my wife Sarah and Maisie (my 4 year old Shih Tzu)

Go travelling around the world

Convincing my wife to marry me

Rugby, dog walking

Two fish in a tank, one turns to the other and says “do you know how to drive this thing?”

I only work part-time, and am responsible for all ‘animal related’ proposals, eg from vets, pet shops and pet grooming parlours etc. as I have insider knowledge.

Where do you call home and who do you share it with?

West Kirby with my mum and dad, two brothers and my cat, Morty, who sometimes gives me a hard time.

If you were told that the world was going to end in six months, what would you do with your remaining time?

Exactly what I do now... I love my life

What is your favourite meal and why?

Chocolate Rodeos and Tangly Twists (dog treats)

What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time?

Chasing a ball at the side of a rugby or football pitch. Walks are pretty good too and I do need my family around me.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Working sheepdog but my mother abandoned me when I was very young...but things have worked out ok though.

What is a little known fact about you?

I don’t like other dogs. I consider myself to be a “special four legged human” whereas “four legged dogs” are commonplace.

What is your favourite joke?

"Dogs are really tough....I've been interrogating this one for hours and he still won't tell me who's a good boy"

Being a dog (a border collie / bearded collie cross) already... I can’t really answer this one

My home is in West Kirby with my partner, Craig.

If you were told that the world was going to end in six months, what would you do with your remaining time?

I would spend all my money to go travelling to countries I’ve always wanted to visit, and would spend as much quality time as possible with my family

Getting a first for my degree in Animal Welfare and Behaviour

Sir David Attenborough - he has so much knowledge and experience of wildlife and animal behaviour. He must have so many fascinating stories.

Surviving for 64 years through all sorts of adversity

Seeing my granddaughter who was one year old at the end of October, 2011

Who has been the biggest influence on your life? What lessons did that person teach you?

My son, Adam, is in the Army and is about to go on his second tour in Afghanistan. If he can do that, I can do anything!

A humming bird as I could spend every day on the beach in Cuba

Managing Director... so I think I do a lot but doubt if others would agree...!!

Where do you call home and who do you share it with?

West Kirby, with my wife Cheryl and our two lads, Andy and Craig. There's also our dog, Maggie (who works part-time for Bathgate) and Morty, the cat.

If you were told that the world was going to end in six months, what would you do with your remaining time?

Do the travelling I didn’t do as a teenager... go to as many major sporting events as possible... and enjoy as many big boys toys (bikes/cars/boats etc…) as I could.  All with the family of course.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Standard stuff really – professional sportsman or fighter pilot

What cause or charity do you care most about?

Animal welfare causes

Where did you grow up?

Born and brought up in Wallasey and moved to West Kirby about 12 years ago. Been on the Wirral all my life.

Who has been the biggest influence on your life? What lessons did that person teach you?

No one in particular – but I do admire people who are content and comfortable in themselves whilst enjoying what they do and what they have achieved.

Chip Foose’s workshop and Jay Leno’s garage
